What should we pay attention to during storage and transportation of steel structures?

The application of steel structures is becoming more and more widespread. As we all know, the use of steel structures is very important for factory construction. Therefore, the following matters should be paid attention to during storage and transportation to ensure the safe use of steel structures.

1. A mark should be set at the end of the steel, and the specification, steel number, quantity and material acceptance certificate number of the steel should be marked;

2. When stacking in the open air, the site should be level and higher than the surrounding ground, and there should be drainage ditches around it;

3. When stacking, the back sides of steel structural steel profiles should be pointed upward or outward as much as possible to avoid accumulation of snow and water, and there should be a height difference at both ends to facilitate drainage.

4. The construction unit should conduct special inspections of the product certificates, design documents and pre-installation records of the parts before construction, and re-check and record the dimensions of the parts;

5. The steel structure should adopt appropriate connection methods to make the node design consistent with the simplified structural calculation model;

6. When hoisting steel structures, appropriate measures should be taken to prevent excessive bending and torsional deformation. The contact parts between rope buckles and components should be padded accordingly to prevent components from being damaged by knocks;

7. After the steel structure is hoisted in place, brackets and other connectors should be fixed in time to ensure the stability of the structure.

8. When using tools at high altitude, spare parts should be placed in the tool bag and not thrown up and down;

9. When working on rainy days, take reliable anti-slip measures and pay attention to lightning protection during thunderstorm seasons;

10. Before steel structure construction, work is prohibited in strong winds above level 4.
